Planning & Project Controls

“Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe” (Abraham Lincoln)

I am a Civil Engineer, a specialist, and passionate about Planning and Project Controls. In addition, I am an expert on the use of Primavera P6 and Primavera Risk Analysis tools.

I have more than 10 years of international experience in civil works projects, installation of electrical substations, building and production lines. I have worked in EPC contracts, as well as in isolated project phases. I am familiar with the Fidic and NEC 3 contract models, as well as with the SCL protocols on delays and disruption projects.

The project baseline, earned value management, critical path method, free float, and total float, resource leveling or the schedule compression techniques are just some of the definitions with which I live in a daily basis.

On a regular basis, I am dedicated to preparing reports, trend analysis and delay analysis of the projects I work on. I am always looking for the best way to optimize my time, through the continuous improvement of processes and procedures, which helps me achieve my goals in the most efficient and highest quality way.

Used to work in multidisciplinary teams and in continuous communication with them. In addition, it has always been possible to work remotely through video calls with people located in other countries to carry out all the functions required by my role.

My passion for the field of Planning and Project Controls has led me to create my blog www.project2080.com, where I share my knowledge on these topics that I love so much.
